Methanol Cracker
By employing a pump to mix methanol and water at a specific ratio, the resulting mixture is heated through a heat exchanger and then directed to a gasifier. After further heating to a temperature range of 220℃ to 280 ℃, the mixture flows through a reactor where catalytic reactions occur. The hot gases generated in the reactor initially pass through a heat exchanger to heat up the methanol/water mixture before cooling down in a cooler. The final product consists of 74% H2, 24.5% CO2, and 0.5% CO, with minimal CH4 content. Enhancing hydrogen purity is achievable through a PSA system.
