99.99% Nitrogen for Laser Cutting: High-Pressure Nitrogen Supply Solution

Nitrogen gas is widely used as an assist gas for laser cutting, especially for stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metal materials.

Using 99.99% high-purity nitrogen helps reduce oxidation during laser cutting and can produce cleaner, smoother, and brighter cutting edges.

Laser cutting typically requires high-pressure nitrogen at around 15–30 bar. Since a standard PSA nitrogen generator cannot normally supply nitrogen directly at this pressure, a nitrogen booster is required to increase the pressure to the required level.

A typical system includes:

PSA Nitrogen Generator → Buffer Tank → Nitrogen Booster → Storage Tank → Laser Cutting Machine

Automatic Standby and Supply

Adding a high-pressure nitrogen storage tank after the nitrogen booster allows the system to operate with an automatic standby function. When the storage tank pressure drops due to nitrogen consumption, the system automatically starts supplying nitrogen. When the required pressure is reached and there is no further demand, the system automatically stops. This means no manual operation is required, while helping reduce unnecessary booster operation and energy consumption.

A PSA nitrogen generator with a nitrogen booster and storage tank provides a continuous, reliable, and automated supply of 99.99% high-pressure nitrogen for laser cutting applications.
